Dan Stephenson (L) welcomes students from USC Marshall School of Business, his Alma Mater

A group of 15 students from the University of Southern California (USC) recently spent a day with real estate developer and fellow Trojan Dan Stephenson, Founder & Chairman of Rancon Group, a successful land development and real estate firm, and Founder of Europa Village Wineries & Resort in Temecula.

The students, studying business and real estate at USC, were accompanied by USC Professor Marianne Szymanski. Stephenson spoke about his real estate career, which began in 1968, and discussed how Europa Village was conceptualized and built. He also spent one on one time with the students to answer questions.

Szymanski first visited Temecula as a tourist a few years ago and fell in love with the area. She considers Temecula a perfect example of a thriving destination that demonstrates the power of entrepreneurial thinking and how it can create opportunities, jobs, careers, and contribute to a strong local economy.

“This unique city combines strong family businesses, the wine industry, interesting people, plenty of horses, and a true feeling of being in the West. Temecula's early morning skies are dotted with peaceful hot air balloons floating overhead, and it's a perfect place to find a great cup of morning coffee! You never know who you will meet in this town and the stories about the great things people build here. Mr. Stephenson was a gracious host and our students were thrilled to be in his presence."
