Born out of his love of fine wines and his dream of owning and operating a vineyard, Charlie and his family relocated to the Temecula Valley from his home on the Northern California coast. His ultimate goal was to create the best Reds in the region. The decision was made to plant red varietals which included Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Due to the perfect growing conditions the main focus of his vineyard was the Syrah. The first vintage from the Curry Vineyard was 2004. All of his Estate Reds are full bodied and made in a fruit forward fashion that sets his wine apart from other California Reds.
The biggest challenge was finding the right climate and conditions for the type of wine that Charlie wanted to produce and serve. The Temecula Valley offered the perfect Micro-Climate for Charlie and the Curry Vineyard was born.
