A celebratory brunch for special mother honorees and their families will be served for Mother’s Day at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa’s The Vineyard Rose Restaurant. The Omelet Station delivers cooked-to-order fluffy omelets with a selection of fillings, and other breakfast favorites include waffles, scrambled eggs, country potatoes and breakfast sausage. On the lighter side are salads like Field Greens with heirloom cherry tomatoes, shaved carrots and croutons; Red Wine Pasta Salad; and Mandarin Chicken Salad with Napa cabbage and crisp rice noodles. There will be a Chilled Shrimp Station and Assorted Cheese Display with seasonal fruit, as well as smoked Norwegian salmon and a Carving Station featuring Applewood smoked ham and slow roasted rib eye. For heartier appetites, Mother’s Day Brunch offers Grilled Marinated Chicken with roasted beets, dried fruit medley and apricot glaze; Penne Pasta Primavera; and more. The Kid Station will make the younger set happy with their favorites. Everyone will want to sample the Chef’s selection of desserts, and the adults will want to sample South Coast Winery’s award-winning wines or sip on $15 bottomless mimosas.
