Visit Temecula Valley Celebrates its Tourism Impact During National Tourism Week and California Tour

Thursday, May 3, 2018 11:00 AM by Annette Brown

Visit Temecula Valley celebrates its tourism industry throughout the month of May, recognizing it would not be possible without the local tourism-related businesses welcoming and serving visitors from outside of a 50-mile radius to as far away as Australia, India and Japan.

Across Temecula Valley, travel employs a prosperous and diverse workforce, from hotel employees, to restaurant, attraction and retail workers, and supports related sectors such as construction, manufacturing and finance. Travel and tourism in Temecula Valley supports more than 7,500 jobs and generates more than $712 million in spending.

Visitors to the region during the month of May are invited to stop by the Visitor Center, located at 28690 Mercedes Street in Old Town Temecula, to pick up a commemorative Temecula Valley Wine Country 50th Anniversary pin*, enjoy cookies and lemonade, and receive a custom Temecula Valley postcard*; they will event stamp and mail it for you.

Temecula Valley now has 24 resorts, hotels, motels and inns, as well as vacation rentals. Several more are in the plans to open in the near future. During their stay, visitors can experience wineries, breweries, gaming and spas; dine at some incredible restaurants with great atmosphere; enjoy outdoor recreation like horseback riding, hot air ballooning, hiking, golfing, fishing and boating; and attend exciting festivals and events throughout the year.
