TEMECULA, Calif. - (June 3, 2014) - Almost as a celebration of the one-year mark for the return of bingo at Pechanga, the A&E Network's "Storage Wars" TV program came calling to film part of an upcoming episode. The segment in which characters Brandi and Jarrod find a portable bingo blower in a storage unit and take it to Pechanga Bingo for an expert opinion is slated to air Tuesday, June 17 at 6:00p.m. To commemorate the broadcast, bingo players age 21 and older are invited to a viewing party inside Pechanga Bingo. Guests can watch the show on any of the 46 flat-screen televisions and projection screens inside Pechanga Bingo. They can also munch on free cookies and milk, popcorn, sodas, tea and coffee. The first 100 guests through the doors for the Pechanga Bingo Watch Party will receive a t-shirt or bingo dauber and everyone will be eligible for door prizes including $50 Pechanga gift cards and special items courtesy of Planet Bingo.
Pechanga Bingo's evening session will begin following the end of the program at 6:30p.m. Players can win a free buy-in to the evening session by entering on Pechanga's Facebook page starting Friday, June 13. Ten people will win VIP seating for the viewing party and a free buy-in to the 6:30p.m. evening bingo session on Tuesday, June 17. Pechanga Bingo opened the afternoon of July 4, 2013 with a ribbon cutting and a crowd of hundreds of eager guests clamoring to play in the new facility with glowing pink and amber lights, dozens of flat and projection screens, and a twinkling fiber optic chandelier. In one year, the facility and its friendly staff built a loyal player following, offering two main bingo sessions Monday through Saturday and one on Sundays. The clientele continues to enjoy added events each month such as themed Cosmik Bingo, held after 11:00p.m. on various Saturdays.
While the look of Pechanga Bingo is different than most bingo facilities in the country, so too are many of the patrons. Staff reports attending to bachelorette parties, 20-somethings, and groups of men or women who opt for bingo rather than the bar. Casino management points out that bingo can provide camaraderie with friendly competition. Another big draw according to bingo players is that they stand to win sizable jackpots and prizes for a low buy-in. Players at Pechanga Bingo can start marking numbers for as low as $10. Three bingo progressive jackpots of more than $20,000 each were hit in May alone.
Players can opt to sit in any one of 700 seats on two floors, a private room for parties and special events, a snack shop with fast, yet gourmet fare, free water and soda for patrons plus a full bar, and state of the art bingo blower. Guests can enjoy tablet bingo to play multiple bingo cards simultaneously or the more time-honored experience of playing with paper bingo cards.
