Old Town Temecula unwraps a new holiday tradition this season as Gold Crown Farms brings a hand-picked selection of premium Christmas trees to its Old Town Christmas Tree Lot located on 6th Street. Shoppers seeking quality, family-friendly experiences and a break from big-box sameness can choose from Noble Fir and Douglas Fir trees, personally selected in Oregon’s Willamette Valley by the owners of Gold Crown Farms. Gold Crown also offers Choose and Cut experiences by reservation only at its DeLuz, Temecula Farm location.
This year’s Christmas Tree lot emphasizes family traditions and local charm. The traditional tree lot is centered around a restored 1950s Chevy farm truck, dressed up as a festive photo backdrop where families can capture seasonal memories free of charge. Gold Crown Farms aims to recreate the warmth of old-fashioned tree shopping with a focus on quality, sustainability, and community spirit.
“We wanted to bring something different to Old Town Temecula — real trees chosen with care, a nostalgic setting, and a place where families can start or continue holiday traditions,” said Kurt Merrill, owner of Gold Crown Farms. “Traveling to the Willamette Valley and hand-selecting each Nobel Fir and Douglas Fir allowed us to offer premium trees that look great and last through the season. Our vintage Chevy farm truck is the heart of the lot — it’s a fun, timeless backdrop for photos and memories.”
The Old Town Christmas Tree Lot opens the day after Thanksgiving and will operate through mid-December, weather and supply permitting. The Old Town Christmas Tree Lot opens Nov. 28th 8am – 8pm. Hours: Wed – Thu 3pm – 8pm; Fri-Sat 8am - 8pm; Sun 10am – 6pm.
"We hope families will come by and select the perfect family tree, take some classic family photos, and take a short stroll through Old Town, making tree shopping a full holiday outing," said Merrill.
