A Rock and Roll Hall of inductee, he began his career in the music industry as the founder and singer of The Miracles, a role that lasted from 1955 until the early 1970s. Robinson found even more fame after he broke out on his own as a solo artist several years later. With hits such as "Baby That's Backatcha," "A Quiet Storm," "Being With You," "Just to See Her" and more in the 1980s, Robinson became a household name to another generation of fans. His music continues to stand the test of time and fans discover his music by listening to soft rock and pop radio stations, as well as on Internet sites such as Pandora.com and others. Robinson was awarded the 2016 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for his lifetime achievements and contributions to popular music.
