INLAND VALLEY SYMPHONY RINGS IN THE SEASON WITH “A SOULFUL CHRISTMAS”

Tuesday, December 2, 2014 9:00 PM

The Sylvia Cotton Singers have been featured in commercials, on television, at national conventions, hundreds of churches of all denominations and at venues such as The Richard Nixon Library, Disneyland, Honda Center, the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. and at numerous other public performances. They have also recorded two albums: "Somewhere There is Someone" and their Christmas CD "It Was More Than A Silent Night." CDs will be available to purchase at the concert.

Under the musical direction of nationally known conductor John Mario, the Symphony will also feature principal flutist Kate Prestia-Schaub on the beautiful "Fantasia On Greensleeves" by Vaughan Williams.

No holiday program would be complete without selections from Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker" or Victor Herbert's "March of the Toys." Plus, IVS is adding a pops twist to its holiday offering and has programmed pieces by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Mannheim Steamroller.

Tickets - Adults $25, Seniors (60+) $20, Military $15, Students $10 and Children (12 & under) $5. Family Fun 6-Pack $50 (2 adults and up to 4 children, 18 and under). Tickets may be purchased at the door or online at the symphony's website. Call 760-318-0460 or visit www.InlandValleySymphony.org for more information.
