Visit Temecula Valley recently announced the winners of its annual "Art in the Vines" competition, which was held during California Wine Month in September. Nearly two dozen artists participated as they transformed Temecula’s Southern California Wine Country into an open-air studio, while visitors were invited to watch the creative process unfold first-hand.
“The beauty of Temecula Valley is one of our greatest assets,” said Scott A. Wilson, CEO of Visit Temecula Valley. “Art in the Vines not only celebrates the artistic inspiration that Temecula wine country provides, but it also creates an interactive, must-see experience that truly enhances a visitor’s stay. The observers, as well as the voters, were given a unique opportunity to experience this beautiful place through the eyes of the artists.”
The finished pieces were displayed at Lorimar Vineyards & Winery throughout September, and nearly 200 people voted for their favorite piece. Each work was made available for purchase during the awards ceremony on Sept. 30.
