Christmas on the Ranch, a new and local family-run holiday festival, will enhance the Christmas season for Southern California families eager for holiday joy. The inaugural event – complete with ice skating, community events, and family attractions – is nestled in Temecula Wine Country at the legendary Galway Downs equestrian property. This all-in-one Christmas festival promises to be the perfect locale for building lifelong family traditions. The two local families behind the project hope to spread the Christmas spirit throughout Temecula’s fun, family community in an all-new way.

“We have such a beautiful community in Temecula, and the families here are ready for a fun new experience for the holidays,” says co-owner and operator Denis Ferguson. “Our families love Temecula, and we see Christmas on the Ranch as a way to build our own family traditions. Now we’re creating the annual community destination that we think our children will love in the hope that our community will enjoy it, too. This event is designed to bring everyone together and create memories that will last a lifetime.”

Beyond the 7100-square-foot rink at the epicenter of the action, holiday revelers can expect to see performances by local artists and choirs, hay rides, Kringle’s Kids Corner, a promenade of lights, arts & crafts, movie nights, a craft fair, open-air ice skating under the stars, and photos and brunch with Santa. The festival is also offering fundraising opportunities for local schools and charitable organizations.

Partnering with local charities, Christmas on the Ranch will provide Temecula’s largest ice rink and full family festival for an entire month. They will kick off the 2017-2018 holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony on December 7th at 6pm, and will host events and fundraisers throughout the season. The ice skating rink itself, along with concessions provided by Chef’s Pantry, will launch today at 6pm. The company is hosting a food drive to benefit Temecula’s Circle of Care Ministry, Nov. 20-24, and will offer a $2 discount off regular admission to patrons who bring a non-perishable food donation.

Parking and admission to Christmas on the Ranch are free. Ice skating admission is $10, and skate rental is $6. Skate-aids will be available free of charge. The Christmas on the Ranch holiday festival will be open daily Dec. 7th, 2017-Jan. 7, 2018, 10am-10pm, with limited hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Holidays on Ice rink and full concessions will be open prior to the festival, Nov. 20-Dec. 6, 2017, with open hours subject to change due to hot weather. Benefitting charities include Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley and One Thousand Cranes Foundation, among others.
