Temecula Valley Wineries

The Temecula Valley is Southern California's Wine Country. Nearly 50 wineries populate the region’s rolling hills and sprawling valleys producing a variety of wines, including award-winning and artisan Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. Visitors can tour wine country on their own, tasting and sipping at their leisure utilizing our Temecula Winery Map, or charter a guided tour of the wineries for the ultimate relaxing splurge. Shuttle and limousine transportation options can get your group to and from the region’s diverse wineries with ease. Look at our Winery Map and take a tour of this beloved region. Most wineries offer tasting rooms and property tours that are available and open to the public, however, some require reservations.  Please check each winery for specific information. 

 

  • Our hand-crafted wines are grown from dozens of grape varieties, including well-known favorites like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah as well as offbeat Mediterranean varieties like Sangiovese, Grenache, Tempranillo, and Vermentino. Also, widely popular and available is Petite Sirah.

  • $20-$30, some offer weekday discounts.

  • Monday through Thursday offers a relaxing atmosphere with less visitors, making this an opportune time for chance conversations with a winery owner or winemaker since they are usually on the property and mingling midweek. There's also time for questions and quality discussions with a sommelier.

  • Most wineries are open daily from 11:00am to 5:00-6:00pm.

  • Typically, three wineries are an adequate amount to taste and visit while keeping a relaxed pace. All the wineries are in close proximity to each other, making it easy to navigate.

  • Harvest season begins for some Temecula wineries as early as July and extends into October or November. The summer months are the optimal time to see full grape clusters on the vines. 

     
  • For beautiful photographs showcasing our lush, green vineyards, the best months to visit are May through September.
