Visit Temecula Valley Discovers an Upswing with Millennial Golfers in Temecula Valley

Young Golfer

Younger generations are discovering their love for the great game of golf. According to The PGA Tour, "6.5 million millennials played 100 million rounds of golf in 2015 and the age group went up 28% of all total golfers." Statistics from the World Golf Foundation (worldgolffoundation.org) show that approximately 2.2 million new golfers took up the game last year in the United States alone.

The impressive golf courses in Temecula Valley Southern California Wine Country are noticing a change in the average age of golfers on the green as well. They are now providing exciting opportunities that appeal to the whole family. Temecula Valley boasts six pristine, championship courses in beautiful southern California wine country, located just 60 minutes from San Diego, Orange County, Palm Springs and 90 minutes from Los Angeles.

Temecula Creek Inn's golf professional, Curtis Rowe, stated they noticed more younger people have taken up the game and are occupying their course. Golfers can tee-up at Temecula Creek Inn to experience any level of play on their 27-Hole championship golf course.

"Journey at Pechanga offers youth golf lessons and it's amazing to see what they absorb and put into action on the course," states Randy Chang, Director of Instruction at Journey at Pechanga Golf Course.

Journey at Pechanga and Temecula Creek Inn are two sprawling golf resorts located on the hillsides of Temecula Valley. Other beautiful golf courses include CrossCreek Golf Club, The Legends Golf Club, Redhawk Golf Club, and The Golf Club at Rancho California.

No matter the age or experience level, a day spent on the Temecula Valley golfing greens is sure to be superb with rolling hills, panoramic views and ideal climate year round. For more information check out VisitTemeculaValley.com.
