April 1, 2015 - TEMECULA, CA - "We are thrilled to offer Temecula two taste events this year, a TOTV Preview Night Concert and the full-day Saturday TOTV. The Friday concert kicks off the 5th annual TOTV with a tribute to the bright future ahead for Temecula and its students. We will be acknowledging Cal State University San Marcos and the City of Temecula, both celebrating 25-year anniversaries this year! We also will recognize the importance of Mt. San Jacinto College in Menifee, which many of our graduates attend. Temecula native Lee Koch headlines our concert performances. He's incredibly talented, and his fans from the TV show, The Voice, will enjoy hearing him in person," said Mark Katan, TOTV event chair. "The VIP Dining experience will guarantee front-row concert seating and is featuring Executive Chef Duane Owen and the Chefs of Pechanga Resort & Casino. Pechanga is always a huge crowd favorite, and it will be a major vendor at our Saturday full-day TOTV," he added.
"Whether you attend the concert or bring your family to the full-day Saturday taste, we want everyone to know we do this for the kids - the funds we raise from summer high school classes and public events like TOTV go right back to school sites for visual and performing arts and curriculum support to benefit students," he added.
Admission to Friday's inaugural TOTV Preview Night Concert is $15 per person. Special VIP Dining is $60/person, $100/couple, or $750/table and includes all food, beverages, and front-row concert seating.
To commemorate the bright future ahead for Temecula and its students, the TOTV PREVIEW NIGHT CONCERT features a unique, light-the-night audience-participation event. It is hosted by Emcee Timmy Daniels of Timmy D Productions and DJ Nate Scott, with music by classic rockers Darren Pritchard & Friends with special guests the LEE KOCH BAND. Koch is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Temecula made famous by the reality show The Voice. Select menu offerings from area restaurants, wineries, and microbreweries, and the Islanders Polynesian Fire Dancers will make the evening a not-to-be-missed celebration.
The full-day tasting event on Saturday, April 25, 11 AM - 7 PM, returns for its fifth year, with all-day family entertainment and access to more than 80 booths spotlighting the area's best restaurants, wineries, and microbreweries. Artisan booths and expanded Fun Zones featuring the Jolly Express trackless train will keep all ages busy. Tasting and activities require the use of tickets, which are sold in increments of $2 at the gate. Entertainment lineup includes rock band INK; Top 40's variety band Guilty Conscience; and live cover band JADE. Special performances by soloist Jill Morrison, Vylanni's Polynesian Dancers, DJ Nate Scott, and emcee Timmy Daniels lead up to Gary Seiler & The Coast Riders, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band. Popular at the 2013 TOTV, The Coast Riders are back for a second TOTV appearance.
Admission to Saturday's full-day Taste of Temecula Valley is $10 per person; children 12 and under are free. Taste tickets are $2 each. Patrons may purchase admission to both Friday & Saturday TOTV events for $20. Taste and activity tickets are $2 each; patrons 21 and over must show ID at entrance. Admission to Saturday event includes special tasting glass with appropriate wristband. Proceeds will benefit the more than 29,000 students in Grades K-12 in TVUSD schools by providing funding for curriculum support grants and programs.
"We are thrilled to celebrate our fifth year in Old Town Temecula, and we are delighted to now be a two-day event. The concept of a community taste - an event that brings the best restaurants, wineries, and microbreweries from Temecula Wine Country and Southern California together in one location - is a worthwhile endeavor. Patrons pay an admission fee, then small tasting fee to sample food and drink they might otherwise never try. It is great exposure for our vendors, and it's an easy, fun way to raise much-needed funding for classrooms. There is virtually no overhead, as we are an all-volunteer based organization," Katan noted.
Vendors interested in being involved in this year's event can contact Katan at 951-551-5352.
